You can’t go to Austin without visiting Sam’s Bar-B-Que.

To meet and be so warmly welcomed by Brian Mays and his family at Sam’s Bar-B-Que in Austin, TX is one of my most cherished memories. Throughout the production of this film, I learned so much about the history of Barbecue in Austin and all the changes that have happened to the East Austin neighborhood.

Sam’s Bar-B-Que is the last man standing, and carries the legacy for the community of East Austin.
