Hey, Mabel here! I’m an artist/filmmaker/now a snack food founder of Frühling—we make healthy artisanal snacks using the highest quality superfood ingredients. I also work as a director with Thursday’s Child.
As a native New Yorker, I’ve been working since I was kid. I started making films with my friends in high school; as the default art department, I designed and built wacky costumes, sets, and makeup. I wrote and directed Electropia! while at Hampshire College. Around the same time, I began working with companies like Cassandra, Ministry of Culture and Deep Focus, providing brainstorms, mood boards, and other forms of visual research and creative strategy.
I love telling stories, and aim to resonate—I’ll do whatever it takes to make the vision happen. I’ve directed, produced, built sets and sourced talent. I’ve even recreated Justin Bieber’s entire tattoo collection as temporary tattoos! I love to figure out the best way to tell a story, to collaborate, travel, dig into a topic, and connect with others. I’ve also acted and performed in a range of different projects.
This site is a combination of professional site and blog—you’ll find a mix of work I did for fun and profit.
